The Digital Single Market (DSM) offers enormous opportunities for citizens, businesses and the European economy as a whole, and the ALDE Group is fully committed to building the DSM. In this respect, the proposal on contracts for the supply of digital content is key and could in itself result in an annual EU real GDP gain of as much as €4 billion. This hearing brings together stakeholders and experts in order to harvest insights and recommendations on contracts on digital content, thereby contributing to the work of ALDE on this important proposal.
How can the EU further develop e-commerce throughout the Union? How can we simultaneously boost cross-border trade as well as cross-border trust when buying products from foreign countries? Those and other important questions will be covered during the hearing.
